I am also finding that molten (hot) glue works very well in my forging attempts. I've gotten a few looks of disapproval, but I must vouch for its ability to hold together and seal within minutes. I may be able to make the Iron Armigers blades after all. I've also tested this weapon, and no damage, nor pain.

I had heard from a couple of my fighters that they'd tried hot glue. Apparently, it does work, depending on how much you use and how quickly you join the foam before it cools. Something like that. However, it makes sense, and is probably just as stable of a bond as anything else used as of now, since it doesn't just glue but also melts the foam together with the heat.

It does work.
I told Garth about it a short time ago, so he could test on similar success.

I prefer low temperature glue, as opposed to high, because it gets solid faster. You place it on the pvc, and the foam, and then quickly apply them together. The foam melts just enough to bond, and the pvc stays firm.

The low temperature creates this sort of tack, in which the glue is still sticky, but not molten and liquidy.

Then just tape it to hold, and viola! Done.

Almost all my weapons are made that way. Cheap, and seemingly more effective than DAP.

But you have no tape on your striking surface do you?
