The Provings are the tests required by the Radiant Order to advance in rank.
First Proving: This Proving is to attain the rank of Proven Brother or Sister.
The First Proving consists of a "Hero" style match. The test taker must fight with Valor, Courage, and Truth. Victory need not be attained
Second Proving: This Proving is required to attain the rank of Templar, Crusader, or Warden.
The Second Proving consists of an "Iron Man" style match. The tester must face all combatants (minimum requirement of 5) to pass, no victory required. Must fight with Truth, Valor, and Courage.
The Third Proving: This Proving is required for a Templar, Crusader, or Warden to gain their Gold Sash honor.
The Third Proving consists of an "Iron Man" style match. The tester must face all combatants (minimum of 10) to pass. Tester must defeat a minimum of three contestants, and must fight with Valor, Courage, and Truth.
Paragon Proving: This Proving is what all Gold Sash Templars, Crusaders, and Wardens take as soon as they earn their Gold Sash.
The Paragon Proving is more a probationary period to see if the selected III Echelon Radiant Order Brother or Sister is worthy and ready for the title of Paragon. Paragons embody one of the Three Pillars of Light and are evaluated on whether or not they live up to that expectation. This test lasts for six weeks.
