Ideas for my backstory? (We can change the title of this topic later, right?)

So, I'm not new to the chapter, but I havn't written a backstory. Any ideas anyone?

Based off of your fighting style. I say something like an assassin order that stubbled across soluna and stayed here or something like that

Actually, his fighting style isn't very assassin-like at all.

I'd say its closer to a ranger, or a traveling monk.

But assassins are cooler and I was primarily going off his quickness and his easy concealable weapon

You'd definitely be more of a ranger type of fighter, Sarron. A traveling monk probably wouldn't carry anything more than a staff, and would excel at unarmed combat. An assassin would stand and fight if cornered (it's not a ninja, after all). A ranger would use guerilla (sp?) tactics, running and gunning, as well as using hidden weapons like an assassin.

Anywho, I mostly agree with Drake, but other than that we've identified a word to describe your fighting style, that doesn't help a whole lot with a backstory. Maybe you were part of a secret society in some land that was horribly oppressed, so you learned to train and fight in secret, so your fighting style developed into what it is. Then when the oppressive government was overthrown, you left in search of other people that might need your help, and you "stubbled" onto Soluna and decided to stay with us.

Oh I like that and since you fought with alterra the oppressive government can be the nwo

Hey, as long as he doesn't try to do a Drizzt-esque backstory, I'm good. That's incredibly cliche' these days.



And yes, I imagine I spelled cliche' wrong, but my computer won't do the funny symbols and such like I want them to and where I want them to. Course, I could have spelled it right, and it just looks wrong to me.

I do like the guerilla idea. Cool. I'll start formulating a backstory and maybe write it some time soon.
